LEWISBURG — To celebrate the Bicentennial of Union County, the Artists’ Guild of Lewisburg, the Lewisburg Arts Council, and the Union County Bicentennial Committee invite all to participate in Sketch Union County on May 4. This free event is open to everyone: artists and art lovers of any age.
Eligible to participate is: Anyone who likes to draw, sketch, paint, or look at others’ drawings, sketches, and paintings, artists and art-lovers who appreciates the beauty in and of Union County of any age.
Imagine ... in towns and fields and parks and backyards and along stream banks all across Union County, artists all sketching on the same day to capture, on paper, a moment in time, and then coming together at the end of the day to share their work. The goal of Sketch Union County is to preserve, with our artwork, a present moment in Union County ... for the future. And, in sharing the work we have created, to build a community of artists.
This is a Union County Bicentennnial “Passport” event. Additional details about the Bicentennial Passport can be found at www.UnionCounty200.com or www.lewisburgartscouncil.com.
