LEWISBURG —The Lewisburg Area CROP Walk marked its 35th year with new routes and its second-highest total ever of funds raised.
The event, sponsored by the Lewisburg Council of Churches and Ministerium, was held Oct. 14 and raised $11,195 in its 5-kilometer and 1-mile walks in the borough and around the Bucknell University campus.
The new course for the walk was designed to pass or at least to see all the sites in Lewisburg where food-sharing ministries take place. A fourth of the funds raised in the walk will support that work.
