MILTON — Thirteen parked vehicles in northern Northumberland County and eastern Union County were damaged when their windows were shot out with a BB gun in incidents police believe may be related.
Milton police Chief Craig Lutcher said eight cars, on Walnut, Upper Market, Broadway and Front streets in the borough, sustained damage.
The time of the vandalism is unclear, although Lutcher said a witness described hearing noise between 4 and 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Cpl. Malcolm Herman, of the Buffalo Valley Regional Police Department, confirmed Wednesday that five vehicles in Lewisburg borough also had windows shattered after being struck by BB pellets.
The Lewisburg incidents took place after 9 p.m. Tuesday, Herman said. They occurred on Walker and Loomis streets, University Avenue and South Third Street in the vicinity of the Bucknell University campus.
The incidents are considered mischief and not criminal, Herman said.
Police said they still are seeking the vandals. Anyone with information is asked to call Milton police at (570) 742-8757 or Buffalo Valley Regional Police at (570) 524-4302.
