LEWISBURG —The Union County Historical Society which was recognized as the official county historical society in 1963, is sponsoring a logo contest. Designs or logos must have the ability to be easily reproduced on letterheads, brochures, posters, and online.
The Union County Historical Society Logo Contest is open to any resident of Union County or anyone attending school in Union County including Bucknell University students. The winner will receive $100 and all entries will become the property of the Union County Historical Society.
No more than three entries may be submitted by an entrant. The logo should not exceed 5 inches by 7 inches and may be oriented horizontally, vertically or be square. All submitted work must be original and not based on a pre-existing design.
Two versions of the design should be submitted — one in black and white and one in color. There are two methods for submitting a logo design:
- Digital entries must be submitted as a vector graphic in .eps format and also as a .jpeg or high resolution .pdf and should be e-mailed to the Union County Historical Society at firstname.lastname@example.org The e-mail must include the name, address, phone number, and age of the entrant.
- Entries also be by submitted on an 8½ by 11-inch white paper or art board. Any medium can be used. Hard copy designs should be sent to the Union County Historical Society at the Union County Courthouse, 103 S. Second St., Lewisburg, PA 17837and include the name, address, phone number, and age of the entrant.
The deadline for entries is April 15. Entrants will be notified of the result of the Union County Historical Society contest and will be announced in May.
