MIFFLINBURG AREA INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
The Mifflinburg Area Intermediate School announces its selections for The Lion Cub Award for Student of the Month for October. Teachers select students who are respectful, hard-working and positive leaders in their classrooms. At the awards assembly at the end of the school year, each recipient will receive a certificate, cash prize, and Lions Club memento from the Millmont, West Union Area Lions Club, the sponsor of the Student of the Month Award.
Tanner Zimmerman, third grade, is the son of Nicole and Lee Zimmerman, New Berlin. In school, his favorite subject is math. He enjoys playing baseball and likes to watch football. In his spare time he enjoys playing Xbox, and likes to hike in the woods. In the future, Tanner would like to be a baseball player or a football player.
Dima Borisov, fourth grade, is the son of Vera and Yuiry Borisov. His favorite class in school is hym. He likes to read in his spare time and also likes art and drawing. In the future, Dima hopes to be an artist.
Montgomery Wetzel, fifth grade, is the daughter of Michele and Patrick Wetzel, of New Berlin. Her favorite class in school is math, and she is a member of the band and chorus. She enjoys her gymnastic class and likes to watch hockey and football. In her spare time she likes to read and play games, and play with her cat. In the future Montgomery would like to be a gymnastics coach or a veterinarian.
