— LEWISBURG -- Pennsylvania State Police identified Donald Pease, 82, of Gorham, N.Y., as the driver of the 2009 Cadillac that caused a five-car accident in Kelly Township Sunday night, leaving a Turbotville mother dead.
An April 1 press release from the state police identified the driver as 81-year-old Edward Peace.
Pease was treated and released from Evangelical Community Hospital after the accident, in which his car was traveling south on the northbound side of Route 15. The collision with four other cars occurred at the intersection of AJK Boulevard.
Ellen Marie Kear, 35, of Turbotville, died at the scene after she was thrown from her vehicle after impact with Pease's car, which eventually landed on top of Kear.
The accident investigation continues, said Trooper Matthew Burrows, spokesman for the state police. He would not say whether charges are pending in the case or when the investigation may conclude.
