— LEWISBURG — The Packwood House Museum invites students ages 7-12 to participate in a “Mask Making” workshop from 10:30 a.m. to noon July 23. Participants will learn how masks have been produced and used by different cultures throughout history. Each participant will have the opportunity to create and decorate a two- or three-dimensional mask of their own using a variety of materials and tools. This “Mask Making” workshop will be taught by Colette Frantz, an M.S.Ed, PA Certified Private School K-12 art teacher. Class size is limited to 15 students, so registration is required.

Packwood House Museum’s 2013 Summer Programs for Kids runs Tuesday mornings through Aug. 13. Each session will be held 10:30 a.m. to noon at the museum’s Tour Center, located at 15 N. Water St. in Lewisburg, unless otherwise noted. All programs are free, but space is limited and the museum requests that parents pre-register their children by calling the museum at (570) 524-0323. Funding for the programs has been provided by a grant from the Woodcock Foundation for the Appreciation of the Arts. All supplies will be provided.
