Library auction sells out for second consecutive year

LEWISBURG — All tickets to The Public Library for Union County’s 24th Annual Auction, An Evening of Mystery, slated for Saturday, March 16 in the Terrace Room at the Langone Center on the campus of Bucknell University have been claimed.

This marks the second year that the event is sold-out.

The evening includes complimentary wine and beer, a deluxe dinner buffet and both silent and live auctions. Among the items up for bid are Blade-Free LASIK eye surgery, a Haunted Gettysburg trip package, an original Bradley Shoemaker watercolor, an aerial tour of the Susquehanna Valley, and various pieces of fine jewelry, artwork collectibles and more.

The Eye Center of Central PA, the donor of the LASIK surgery, will be hosting free eligibility screenings the week of March 11 at all office locations. Auction attendees wishing to bid on the LASIK surgery can take advantage of this free screening by calling 1-866-335-3937.

The proceeds from the auction will be used to augment the books and materials available for the community to borrow.
