LEWISBURG — The holidays will soon be here, and the parade committee, organized this year by Packwood House Museum, is busy planning Lewisburg’s 33rd Annual Victorian Holiday Parade, to be held 1 p.m. Dec. 7. This year’s parade promises to be as festive as ever, from the town crier all the way to Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The committee, chaired by Packwood House Museum board of directors chair Christine Sperling and board member Colette Heim-Frantz, is currently seeking donations from the community to help cover the cost of the music, horses, carriages, and costumes that are the hallmark of this unique parade.
If you are interested in making a monetary donation to the parade, or if you would like to participate in the parade, contact the committee by calling the museum at (570) 524-0323. All contributions are tax-deductible and can be made payable to the “Victorian Parade Committee/Packwood House Museum”, and sent to Packwood House Museum, 15 N. Water St., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
