Midd-West High School Students of the Month for September

— MIDDLEBURG -- The Midd-West High School Students of the Month for September have been announced.

Erikah Sassaman, eighth grade, is the daughter of Shawn and Jennifer Sassaman, of Middleburg. She is a member of the field hockey team and enjoys writing. Her interests include sports, music acting, singing and playing video games against her brother. Her future plans include attending college as an RN or a journalist.

Katie Hestor, ninth grade, is the daughter of Todd and Katrina Hestor, of Middleburg. She is involved in student council and is a member of the girl’s soccer team. Her hobbies include soccer, camping and being with her friends. Katie’s future plans include attending college for family and marriage counseling or something in the medical field.

Adriana Oister, ninth grade, is the daughter of Richard Oister and Lois Diehl, of Mount Pleasant Mills. In school she is involved in the History of Rock and Roll Club and Key Club. Some of Adriana’s hobbies include writing mystery, horror and thriller stories, songwriting, playing guitar and playing video games. Her future plans include living in Seattle or New York, and being a writer or a video game designer.

Benjamen Kline, 11th grade, is the son of Chris and Amy Kline, of Middleburg. While at school Ben is involved in Science Olympiad, class president, National Honor Society member, cross country, swimming and track & field. Bens’ interests include being a member of Boy Scouts and being selected as a staff member for the National Youth Leadership Training. He also enjoys being outside, camping, hiking, reading and hobby aquariums. His future plans include achieving a degree in animal biology and attending a grad school for ichthyology.

Tony Rice, 12th grade, is the son of Gerald and Sharon Rice, of Mount Pleasant Mills. Tony is a member of the FFA, National Honor Society and class congress. His hobbies include skiing, hunting and playing guitar. His future plans include attending Penn State for agri-business management.
