— The Midd-West region's churches have held a slew of vacation bible school programs over the past several weeks, incorporating children from throughout the Central Susquehanna Valley.
Themes varied depending on the church, and many have formed some unique traditions. For example, Port Ann Wesleyan Church, just west of the town of Penns Creek, closed the program with a special Sunday morning VBS service sharing the music, message and memories from the week of learning and fun -- and the service was followed by a large fried chicken picnic for everyone in attendance and their families.
