MIDDLEBURG — The 2013 Midd-West High School prom was a success as more than 250 students and a slew of adult chaperones converged upon the new high school gymnasium.
The hallways were abuzz with people chatting, laughing, showing off their new attire and sharing a moment that many people never forget for the rest of their lives.
Something that traditionally goes with proms are pictures, and The Daily Item wants to see your best images for a contest that is being run across the Susquehanna Valley. The details are as follows ...
It’s prom season and we want to share your photos.
The Daily Item will display a gallery of 2013 prom photos submitted by our readers on The Daily Item’s website and stage our annual contest — “Prom Perfect” — on our Facebook page.
These are two different displays. Those submitting photos for the online gallery will not be entered in the contest, and photos entered in the contest will be displayed only on the Facebook page.
Look for the photo gallery at www.dailyitem.com later this week. The rotating gallery will be updated each week during prom season with new photos submitted by you.
To upload your favorite pic (just one per family please), go online to: dailyitem.smugmug.com click “Upload Photos” near the top of the page and follow the instructions.
The “Prom Perfect” photo contest will be conducted on The Daily Item’s Facebook page. Winners will receive a gift card from the Susquehanna Valley Mall or Garfields restaurant.
To enter the contest, email your favorite 2013 prom photo to: firstname.lastname@example.org, putting “Prom Perfect” in the subject line. Include your full name, adddress, phone number and a photo caption, along with your photo attachment.
Photo submissions for the contest will be from April 21 to June 8. The winners will be announced in The Daily Item on June 16.
