— RICHFIELD — A unidentified man was flown by LifeFlight helicopter for medical treatment after a Saturday accident in which he lost control of his car on a winding Snyder County back road and was ejected from it.
The car, a silver-grey Nissan 350Z landed on a creek bed. The accident occurred on Swamp Road about 12:30 p.m. in West Perry Township, just over the Juniata-Snyder county line about 10 miles southwest of Freeburg.
Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove said the man was the lone occupant of the car that, they believe, had crossed into Snyder County at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and veered left off Swamp Road.
Long, dark skid marks on Swamp Road follow the path of the car as it went into the woods, shearing off tree branches and striking a tree before it landed front-end first on the bank of a small stream. The driver was ejected and landed near the car.
