MIFFLINBURG — Team Taylor is an organization set up in support of Taylor Bingaman, 22, of Mifflinburg, and his family. On Thanksgiving of 2012, Taylor suffered a traumatic brain injury which left him with a long, difficult recovery and extensive rehabilitation. He has spent months at both Geisinger Medical Center and Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital, and is continually making progress.
Taylor is an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoors man, and an all around sportsman. Team Taylor has organized multiple fundraisers to aide Taylor’s family with the expenses they will be facing. A raffle fundraiser is currently being held. The prize is Taylor’s new 2012 Harley Davidson FXDF he had purchased from #1 Harley Shop before his accident. He had only put 997 miles on it. Each ticket will cost $20. MMCI Chapter 19 of Mifflinburg is the sponsor of this event and 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to the Bingaman family for the large amount of medical costs and future medical needs.
There are multiple locations in Mifflinburg and surrounding areas where the raffle tickets can be purchased including #1 Harley Shop, State College; Ard’s Market, Lewisburg, Martin’s Motorcycle Shop, Middleburg; and Cole’s Hardware, Fisher’s Auto, Scarlet D, The Old Turnpike Restaurant, Twisted Bull, and the VFW, all in Mifflinburg.
The drawing will be July 20 at the MMCI Chapter 19 summer party at the West End Fairgrounds at 9 p.m. sharp. You do not need to be present to win. Additional information is available by calling Troy Hendrix, raffle coordinator at 768-1564.
