The Milton Public Library will celebrate the end of its summer reading program with a special guest performer and pot luck picnic lunch, games and/or crafts. All are invited to attend. Please sign up at the front desk.
Tom Sieling, widely acclaimed singer and songwriter from Newfield, N.Y., will perform a free family program called “Howl at the Moon with a Ground-Dweller Tune!” at the library at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14. This show consists of participatory, humorous children’s songs. Sieling accompanies himself on guitar, banjo, harmonica and a drum machine, and all songs include parts for the whole family.
Nicole Carner, library director of the Pember Library in Granville, N.Y, said, “Tom is a wonderfully engaging performer ... sure to raise even the most reticent out of their seat. We ‘howled at the moon, sang a wild thing tune’ and wanted more!”
Lunch will be served immediately following the show.
All ages are invited. For more information, call the library at (570) 742-7111.
