WEST MILTON — Lois M. Baylor, 95, of Datesman Village, West Milton, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg.
Born in Milton on Aug. 2, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Hurl L. and Mary Ellen (Sampsell) Baumer. She was married to H. Maurice Baylor until his death on June 19, 1969.
Lois attended Milton schools and had worked for Kramm Nursing Home in Watsontown, Bucknell University, Lock Haven University and Hassinger’s Garage in Milton.
She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Milton, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She volunteered often at the senior center in Lock Haven, teaching many different crafts.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael L. and Suzanne Foust, of Lock Haven, James L. and Mary Jane Baylor, of West Milton, and Henry M. Jr. and Helen Jean Baylor, of Lewisburg; one daughter, Patricia F. Hughes, of Lewisburg;10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jeanne Hendricks, of Lewisburg.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, William H. Baumer, and two sisters, Dorothy Armstrong and Alice Moore.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
