SUNBURY — Adelaide E. Zimmerman, 92, of Sunbury, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at the Golden Living Center, Sunbury.
She was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Sanders) London. She was married to Chester L. Zimmerman, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1994.
Adelaide was a member of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, Sunbury, where she was active in the Senior Saints and the Inbetweeners group.
Adelaide was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Jerry F. and Ellen M. Zimmerman and Ronald C. and Jacqueline Zimmerman, all of Sunbury, and Shirley A. and Larry Lytle, of Alamosa, Colo.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold London, of Sunbury; one daughter-in-law, Peggy Zimmerman; special niece, Shirley Hackenberg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert F. Zimmerman; three brothers, Raymond, John and Richard; and three sisters, Eva Dyer, Irene Wolfe and Beatrice Bogart.
Friends will be received from 10 to 10:55 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, 967 Mile Hill Road, Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Charles Cole officiating.
Burial will follow in Pomfret Manor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church.
