SHAMOKIN — Margaret Troxell, 85, of Shamokin, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, after suffering a brief illness.
Born Feb. 6, 1928, in Shamokin, she was a daughter of Nicholas and Susan Logush. Margaret was married to William B. Troxell on Aug. 1, 1948. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
She graduated from Shamokin High School in the Class of 1945.
Margaret was a homemaker, and she loved to bake. She also was an accomplished seamstress employed by the Shamokin Dress Co.
She was a Sunday school teacher, a Bible study leader and led a children’s Bible club.
Margaret is survived, in addition to her husband, by one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Barry Wills, of Sunbury; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dawn Troxell, of Ephrata; one daughter, Carol Troxell, of Framingham, Mass.; two granddaughters, Amy Dorgan and Heather Nasongkhla and their spouses and three great-grandchildren; several cousins; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and her grandpuppy, Lilly.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by one brother, Leon Logush, and two sisters, Jeanne Pitorak and Caroline Logush.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the Farrow Funeral Home, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin, with the Rev. Douglas Lyon officiating.
Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
