PASADENA, Md. — Andrew Michael Magargle, 22, of Pasadena, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, in State College, Pa.
Born Dec. 10, 1991, in Columbia, Md., he was the son of Lonnie L. Magargle and Linda L. (Fry) Meyer.
Andrew was raised in Ellicott City, Md., and was a 2009 graduate of Mount Hebron High School. He completed his bachelor of science degree in computer science at Pennsylvania State University this year and recently had accepted a position with Amazon in Seattle, Wash.
Andrew was very active with the THON charity at Penn State and enjoyed tractor pulls, playing golf and strato-matic baseball.
Surviving are his father and companion, with whom he lived, Lonnie L. Magargle and Christina Foster, of Pasadena, Md.; his mother and stepfather, Linda L. and Mark Meyer, of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Jennifer R. and Noelle J. Magargle, both of Pasadena, Md.; his paternal grandparents, Barry and Frances Magargle, of White Hall, Pa.; his maternal grandmother, Nancy L. Fry, of Milton, Pa.; and his godparents, Sandra Baker, of Williamsport, Pa., and Don Hendricks, of Watsontown, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George R. “Pappy” Fry Jr., in 2004.
Friends are invited to call from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, Pa., where the funeral will follow at 1 with Pastor Shawn McNett, a family friend, officiating.
Burial will follow in White Hall Cemetery.
