WILLIAMSPORT — Wayne L. Bergenstock, 76, of Williamsport, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
He was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Danville, a son of Cluster W. and Stella A. (Moser) Bergenstock.
He was the husband of the former Denise Harmon, and they shared 47 years of marriage.
Wayne was an Army Reserve veteran.
He was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Wayne was a Danville High School graduate and attended the Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia.
He was a construction supervisor for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 35 years and Larson Design for nine years.
Wayne was a member of Danville-Mahoning Lodge 224, Free & Accepted Masons, and the Valley of Williamsport Scottish Rite.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapshooting and antique cars.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Denise, are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Douglas Bergenstock, of Milton, and Keith and Jennifer Bergenstock, of Allentown; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Robert Bergenstock Sr., of Danville; and two sisters, Carol Reedy and Joyce Llewellyn, both of Danville.
He was predeceased by one brother, Fred Bergenstock Sr., and one sister, Faye Llewellyn.
Visitors may call from 10 to noon Saturday at the James C. Maneval Funereal Home Ltd., “A Life Celebration Home,” 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. Relatives and friends are invited to Wayne’s life celebration service at noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery, 1401 Broad St., Montoursville, following the service.
