NEW COLUMBIA — Truman S. Yarger, 74, of Pleasant View Road, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 24, 1939, in Sanborn, a son of the late Clarence and Laura (Lowe) Yarger. He was married to the former Joyce Hendricks for 23 years before her death in 2001.
Truman retired from American Home Foods, Milton.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
He is survived by three children and their spouses, Cindy and Tom Feger, of Selinsgrove, Steve and Kelly Yarger, of Mifflinburg, and Craig and Shaney Yarger, of New Columbia; grandchildren, Jen and Colby Libhart, Mike Yarger, Darien Yarger, Danica Genners and Ryan Feger; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Walter and Marlene Yarger, Clark Yarger and Jim and Diane Yarger; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Bob Regel, Velma and George Piedmo, Elsie and Luke Steiner and Donna and Clair Bush; his companion, Mae Showers, of New Columbia; and three stepchildren, John Prosseda, Kathleen Prosseda and Tammie Young, all of North Carolina.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Frank Yarger.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Butch Woolsey, of Church of New Life, officiating.
Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
