MILTON — Thelma K. Mauger, 89, formerly of Milton, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, in North Carolina.
She was born April 22, 1924, in Milton, a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Florence (Albright) Kremer. She was married to Wilbur “Bud” Mauger for more than 60 years before his death in 2007.
Thelma was a 1942 graduate of Milton High School.
She had been employed by American Home Foods, Milton, and in the cafeteria at the Milton Junior High School.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Milton, for many years, a board member and volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
Thelma enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol A. and William Schmidt, of Atlanta, Ga., and Patricia A. and Mark Brandau, of Mooresville, N.C.; and five grandchildren, Michael Schmidt, Catherine Schmidt, Jennifer Brandau, Hannah Brandau and Jeremy Brandau.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Kremer, and one sister, Ruth Sechman.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
