LEWISBURG — Mabel M. Knouse, 87, of Barb Lane, formerly of Mifflinburg, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at her home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1924, in Liverpool, a daughter of the late Elmer J. and Esther Mae Ettinger.
Mabel attended school in Port Ann.
She previously had been employed as a nursing aide at the Selinsgrove Center.
She was a member of Beavertown God’s Missionary Church.
Mabel enjoyed crocheting and making afghans in her spare time.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Anthony G. and Linda Knouse, of Lewisburg, Barry E. Knouse, of Middleburg, and Larry D. and Barbara Knouse, of Middleburg; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Laverne Radel, of Millmont.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Glen E. Radel and Marvin C. Knouse; one daughter, Orpha Knouse; and her brothers and sisters.
Friends and family will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Beavertown God’s Missionary Church, 1693 Creek Road, Beavertown, where the funeral will follow at 2 with Pastor James Plank officiating, assisted by Pastor Jeffrey Stratton and Pastor Matthew Maloyed.
Burial will follow in Beavertown God’s Missionary Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
