SHAMOKIN — John Anthony Polan, 58, of 410 North Shamokin St., died suddenly at home at 11:45 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2013.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1954, in Shamokin, a son of Mildred Elizabeth (Surazenski) and John Peter Polan.
He was a 1974 graduate of Shamokin High School.
John worked as a laborer and trash haulter and at Allen Clark’s Poultry.
Surviving are two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and Dennis Conrad, of Sunbury, and Jolene and Glen Haas, of Irish Valley; one brother and sister-in-law, David T. and Barbara Polan, of Sunbury; nieces; nephews; grandnieces; and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James F. Polan, and one sister, Sue Ellen Polan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope, Shamokin, with Father Adrian presiding.
Arrangements are by the Farrow Funeral Home, Shamokin.
