LEWISBURG — Gregory Wulczyn, 98, of Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Emeritus at Creekview.
He was born Jan. 21, 1915, in Rochester, N.Y., the son of the late Wasyl and Theodora (Bandura) Wulczyn. He was married to the former Elisabeth Hagena, who survives.
Gregory served in the Merchant Marines during and after World War II.
He was a professor at Bucknell University for 30 years and a member of American Legion Post 182.
Gregory loved classical music, books, number theory and bowling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Friedhelm H. Wulczyn and his wife, Susan, of Chicago, Ill., F. Gregory Wulczyn and his wife, Andrea Seiler, of Berlin, Germany, and Hans R. Wulczyn and his wife, Barbara, of Mechanicsburg; one daughter, Heidi A. Wulczyn, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Gregory was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Barthold.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
