NORTHUMBERLAND — Grace E. Mancinelli, 89, a resident of Emmanuel Home, Northumberland since 2005 and formerly of 664 Cricket Avenue Ardsley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Nottingham Village Nursing Center, Northumberland where she had resided for three months.
She was born July 21, 1924, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Louis Chris and Emilie (Keppler) Geissler. She was married for 61 years to Peter Mancinelli who preceded her in death March 13, 2006. They were married Nov. 11, 1944.
She graduated from Kensington High School in 1942 and attended the Bible Institute in Philadelphia for one year.
Grace was employed by Gimbel’s of Philadelphia as a salesperson in her earlier years and was a homemaker most of her life.
She enjoyed writing poetry and loved artwork. Her greatest joy and passion in life was telling everyone she met about the love that Jesus had for them. She did this, most often, through her active gospel literature ministry.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy J. and Joseph J. Klimchak Jr., of Aliquippa, Bette J. and Timothy B. Eckel, M.D., of Danville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Wanner, of Denver, Pa. \
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Relatives and friends will be received for a visitation time from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Visneski Funeral Home Inc. 10 W. Mahoning St., Danville.
A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday in the Lawnview Cemetery Huntington Pike, Rockledge, PA.
