JERSEY SHORE — Joshua D. Hendershot, 27, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Aug. 22, 1986, in Williamsport, a son of the late Theodora M. (Clark) Hendershot.
Joshua was employed by Bob McCormick Ford in Lock Haven as a mechanic.
He enjoyed snowboarding, dirt biking and kayaking and loved working on cars.
Joshua was a great father to his two children, Gavin R. Matter, of Loganton, and Kina L. Hendershot, of Lock Haven. He also is survived by one brother, Heath E. Hendershot, of Williamsport; aunts and uncles, Linda and Ted Szuhaj, of Oval, Rose and Randy Kopelcheck, of Milton, Tim and Linda Clark, of Oval, Scott and Kathy Clark, of Salladasburg, and Daniel Clark, of Oval; his maternal grandfather, Theodore S. Clark, of Oval; and his girlfriend, Nicole E. Matter, of Loganton.
Joshua was predeceased by his mother, Theodora M. Hendershot, on July 7, 2012.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by a life celebration at 10, in the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home Ltd., “A Life Celebration Home,” 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with the Rev. Wanda L. Minnick officiating.
Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery.
