WINFIELD — Wayne A. Longacre, 62, of Scott’s Drive, passed away suddenly on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 14, 1951, in Lewisburg, a son of the late George A. and Marian I. (Reitz) Longacre. On June 26, 1981, he married the former Sally A. Wolfe who survives.
Wayne was a 1969 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
He was employed as a patient aide at the Selinsgrove Center and retired after 32 years of service.
Wayne attended Christ Community United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karen A. and Justin D. McRae, of Sunbury; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eric A. and Erin N. Longacre, of Augusta, Ga., and Robert L. and Amie Longacre, stationed with the Army in Germany; five grandchildren, Izabelle, Lauryn, Hayleigh, Adalyn and Justin; and one sister, Goldie Buch, of Sunbury.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald W. Longacre in 1987; one brother, George D. Longacre; one half brother, Richard Arnold; and one half sister, Elanor Strouse.
Friends and family may visit from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by a memorial service at 7 with the Rev. Randall G. Bennett Jr., officiating.
A private burial will be in Shreiner’s Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
