LEWISBURG — Betty H. Kerstetter, 93, of 1661 St. Mary St., passed away on Friday afternoon, Sept. 6, 2013, at her home.
A native of Norristown, she was born Jan. 9, 1920, a daughter of the late Daniel D. and Mary A. (Freese) Hetrick. She was married for 63 years to Robert M. Kerstetter Sr., who preceded her in death on March 27, 2005.
Betty was a 1938 graduate of the Northumberland High School.
She was the assistant manager for the Bison at Bucknell University, retiring after 30 years of service.
Betty was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for 66 years where she attended Sunday school.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and was in the alumni Association of both the Northumberland High School and her Sunday school class.
Betty is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Pat Kerstetter, of Lewisburg, and Robert and Kay Kerstetter, of St. Cloud, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ed Bobb, of Montandon; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three half brothers and their spouses, Donald and Pearl Hetrick, of Northumberland, Jay and Sharon Hetrick, of Hendersonville, N.C., and Fred Hetrick, of Sunbury; and one half sister, Sara and Arthur Kretschmer, of Waukegan, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Ethel Luckhard Hetrick; one sister, Marie Bard; one brother, John Hetrick; and two half brothers, David D. and Ernest F. Hetrick.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, with the Rev. William Petry officiating.
The family will provide flowers and asks that donations in Betty’s memory may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 100 S. Third St., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
Funeral arrangements are by the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg.
