SUNBURY — Olive Nace, 93, of Sunbury, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Manor Care, Sunbury.
She was born Jan. 28, 1919, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Elmer and Daisy (Bordner) Ferster. She was married to James Nace who preceded her in death on June 7, 1990.
Olive was formerly employed as a seamstress by Nite Kraft Co., Sunbury, Miss Siren, Selinsgrove, and as a waitress at the Custard Cup, the Hotel Edison and the Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
While living for a time in Tennessee, she volunteered at senior action centers.
Olive enjoyed painting in both oil and water colors and had an interest in interior design.
She is survived by five children and their spouses, James and Julie Nace, Ronald Nace, and Patrtica Landis, all of Tennessee, George and Susan Nace, of Montana, and Sharyn and David Reichner, of Selinsgrove; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Ferster.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11.
Burial will be in the Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
