MILTON — Arlene E. Moore, 84, formerly of Pine Street, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born July 20, 1928, in West Milton, a daughter of the late Conrad and Mary Jane (Beaver) Snyder. On July 4, 1946, she married Harry C. Moore, who preceded her in death on Oct. 21.
Arlene was a 1946 graduate of Milton High School.
She was employed by American Home Foods, Milton.
She was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ, Milton, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose, Elks and Veterans of Foreign Wars, all in Milton.
Arlene enjoyed bowling, cooking and sewing and loved to spend time with all of her family.
She is survived by one son, John Moore, of Georgia; six grandchildren, John Moore Jr., Dennis Moore, Jennifer McHenry, Joshua Moore, Shawn Moore and Lisa Reaser; two brothers, Jack Snyder, of Watsontown, and Carl Snyder, of Milton; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles and Dennis Moore; four brothers, Fred, Gene, Lloyd and Donald Snyder; and one sister, Gladys Haupt.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St,. Milton. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Paradise United Church of Christ, 8105 Paradise Road, Milton, with her pastor, the Rev. Doug Schader, officiating.
Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery, Milton.
