McCLURE — Robert L. “German” Wagner, 60, of Stull Road, passed away at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Lewistown Hospital.
He was born Jan. 19, 1953, in Georgia, the son of Betty L. (Weader) Wagner, of Bannerville, and the late Robert C. Wagner. On March 19, 1983, he married Mary J. (Lash) Wagner, who survives.
Robert was a graduate of West Snyder High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He previously was employed as an aide at the Selinsgrove Center and later at Northway Industries, Middleburg, from where he retired.
Robert was a member of Bannerville Church of the Brethren, a life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Bannerville Hunting Camp.
He was an avid poker player in his spare time.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two sons, Justin R. Wagner and his significant other, of Selinsgrove, and Scott A. Wagner, of McClure; one daughter, Denise Colyer, of Beavertown; six grandchildren, Hayden, Walker, Dylan, Tharon, Dalton and Bree; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cyndi and Richard Goss, Sharon and Doug Stover and Kathi and Mark Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in the Bannerville Fire Company.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
