Forrest F. Fetterolf, 77, Middleburg

MIDDLEBURG — Forrest F. “Bush” Fetterolf, 77, of Troxelville Road, passed away on Friday morning, June 28, 2013, at his home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Spring Township, Snyder County, a son of the late Arthur P. and Edna M. (Fetterolf) Fetterolf. On Feb. 22, 1958, he married the former Norma M. Walter, who survives.

Bush attended Beaver Vocational High School and served with the Army in the Korean War.

He had been employed first by the Middlecreek Valley Telephone Company, later with Chef Boyardee in Milton, Pennsylvania House in Lewisburg, and retired after 36 years of service at ACF in Milton. He also farmed.

He attended Zion United Methodist Church, Middleburg and was a member of American Legion Post 52, Middleburg.

Bush enjoyed working outside and running his skid loader. He took pleasure in rollerskating.

He will be remembered for his joy in helping others.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 55 years are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Colleen Dorman and her companion Steve Catherman, of Middleburg, Wendy and Williard Wenrich, of Beavertown, Sherry and Rich Ahearn, of Northumberland, and Kathy and Trent Arbogast, of Beavertown; one son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Mary Fetterolf, of New Berlin; 10 grandchildren, Shawn and Vanessa Dorman, Christopher Foor, Stefanie Hollenbach, Tiffany Shrawder, Nathan Ahearn, Emily and Jonathan Fetterolf, and Trisha and Megan Arbogast; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald A. and Nancy Fetterolf, of Elkton, Md.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Robin and Darla.

Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion United Methodist Church, by his pastor Bob Klingerman.

Burial with military honors by the Middle West Veterans will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
