MILTON — Sarah I. “Sally” Mensch, 93, of Cameron Avenue passed away on March 29, 2013, at her home.
Born in Milton on Feb. 3, 1920 ,she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Bessie F. (Bostian) Neuer.
Sally attended Milton Schools and worked at Chef Boy Ar Dee for 23 years retiring on March 1, 1985.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Milton.
She enjoyed her family, cooking, baking, taking care of her farm, riding her lawn mower and cutting grass. She liked to drive and drove until she was 92. She was a fan of Penn State football and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She is survived by four sons and five daughters-in law, Paul and Carolyn Mathias, of New Columbia, Rose Mathias, of Canterbury, Conn., Terry and Kay Mathias, of Milton, Ronald and Patricia Mathias, of Milton, and Gary and Deene Mathias, of Milton; one brother, Donald Neuer, of Muncy; one sister, Emma Everett, of Maryland; eleven grandchildren, Keith Mathias, Kathy Mathias, Nancy Pettrucci, Dawn Cyr, Ann Mathias, Matthew Mathias, Gregory Mathias, Alison Mathias Fluke, Tracy Jackson, Gwen Moyer, and Ronald Mathias; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren.
Sally was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Mathias; one son, John Mathias; one granddaughter, Lisa Mathias; two brothers, Harry Neuer and Ralph Neuer; and two sisters, Katherine Finck and Ida Higbee.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, where the funeral will be held at 11.
Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Dale Hippensteel.
