REEDSVILLE — Margaret Jeanette Adams, 89, of Woodland Circle, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013, at Lewistown Hospital.
She was born June 30, 1923, in Beaver Springs, a daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Getz) Bachman. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilson M. Gentzel, and one son, Ronald W. Gentzel.
Margaret attended school in McClure.
After school, she was employed as a licensed practical nurse at the Selinsgrove Center and the Wernersville State School.
Margaret attended St. John’s Ridge Lutheran Church, McClure.
She enjoyed painting, flowers and playing the organ and especially loved spending time with her family.
Margaret is survived by her husband, David Lee Adams, and his children, Lee Ann Schmolze and spouse Brandon and Robert Adams and his spouse, Melissa, and their children; one daughter, Donna J. (Gentzel) Hackett; two sisters, Helen Knepp and Ruth Bowersox, of Beaver Springs; granddaughters, Lori (Hackett) Kauffman and husband Todd, of McVeytown, and Michelle Hackett and husband Joseph Walter Jr., of Harrisburg; additional grandchildren, JR, Deanna, Rodney, Marty, Kelly and Jonathan; and many beloved great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, where the funeral will follow at 11 with Pastor Jonathan God officiating.
Burial will follow in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, McClure.
