— DALMATIA — Warren Elwood Billow, 88, of River Road, Lower Mahanoy Township, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at the SUN Home Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.

He was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Millersburg, a son of the late Emmett M. and Annie (Mortez) Billow .

He had retired from the former Glenn Gary Brick Company, and also had worked in the past for Halls Trucking Company and Harrisburg Steel Co.

He was a member of the Millersburg Moose and the Killinger Hunting Lodge; lifetime member of the Herndon, Dalmatia and Hickory Corners fire companies.

He enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing and hunting and riding his bicycle. He also enjoyed listening to country music and Penn State, Phillies and Pirates baseball.

Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Gladys A. (Snyder) Billow; two sons, Randy W. Billow, of Herndon, and Scott W. Billow, of Dalmatia; ond daughter, Bonnie S. Watts, of Herndon; four grandchildren, Mikki L. Sprenkle, of Fort Mead, Md., Dana Nicole Sprenkle, of Loyalton, Pa., Cory W. “Booger” Sprenkle, of Dalmatia and Gabrielle Elizabeth Hannah “Snicklefritz” Sprenkle , of Sacramento; one great-grandson, Aiden C. Laudenslager, of Loyalton, and any nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Maynard and Grant; and four sisters, Miriam Snyder, Effie Deppen, Ardella Haines and Betty Olen.

A time of visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Homes, Inc, Millersburg, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with the SUN Hospice Chaplin, James Taylor officiating.

Burial will follow in David’s Church Cemetery, Millersburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the SUN Home Hospice Center, 61 Duke St., PO Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857-0232.
