LEWISBURG — Florence M. Greenly, 102, of Lewisburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg, where she had lived since 2006. Florence formerly lived in Unityville for more than 60 years.
Florence was born July 22, 1911, in Moreland Township, a daughter of the late Raymond and Estella (Hilner) Gardner. She was married to LaRue H. Greenly, who passed away in 2003, breaking a marital span of 70 years.
She graduated from Muncy High School and attended nursing school in Williamsport.
Florence enjoyed playing cards, gardening, sewing and spending her winters in Florida.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Caroline Greenly, of Millville, Gerald and Ruth Greenly, of Milton, Richard and Helen Ann Greenly, of Mount Dora, Fla., and Jay L. Greenly, of Williamsport; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jane Greenly, who passed away in 1958; one grandson, Gene Greenly, who passed away in 2007; and one sister, Mable Crist.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
