LEWISBURG — William S. Laycock, 82, formerly of 11 Meadow Lane, died unexpectedly after a fall, on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013.
He was born Oct. 29, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, a son of the late Albion and Madeline Laycock. He was married to the late Anita Laycock for 59 years.
He was a 1949 graduate of Devilbiss High School and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity while attending the University of Toledo. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Bill was a retired plastic engineer. He worked for EM Industries, Whitehouse Station, N.J., prior to his retirement in 1996. Throughout his career, he was an active member of the Society of Plastic Engineers.
He loved computers and all electronics. He was a member of the American Legion in Lewisburg.
Bill is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Vicki Bechlke, of Palmetto, Fla., Lori and Gerry Costa, of Austin, Texas, Tami and Steve Catania, of Millmont, Pa. and Holli and Liam Kearns, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Bill Laycock and Dr. Kathy Zug, of Hanover, N.H.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; his only brother, Dennis Laycock and sister-in-law Margaret Laycock, of Ann Arbor, Mich., and sister-in-law, Lorraine Kelly, of Cleveland, Ohio.
A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
Burial will be in Orchard Hills Cemetery.
