— MILTON — Helen L. Worthington, 99, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Kramm Healthcare Center, Milton, where she had been a resident since 2004.

She was born Aug. 4, 1914, in Penn Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late G. Adam and Carrie A. Heimbach Inch. She graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1932. On April 21, 1934, she married Daniel W. Swank, who preceded her in death in 1957.

Helen was an excellent cook and over the years was employed in that capacity at Selinsgrove Loyal Order of Moose, the Sunbury Social Club and Goodwill Hose Company in Sunbury. She was a life member of the Dauntless Hook & Ladder Fire Company, Selinsgrove, and the Sunbury Social Club & Auxiliary.

She thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years, spending much time crocheting doilies, knitting afghans, and doing many other craft activities, then sharing them with her many family members.

Helen is survived by daughter, Jane A. Wendt, of Northumberland; son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Loretta Swank, of New Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry D. and Jim Coonan, of Orwigsburg; son-in-law, Dave Davis, of Tampa, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son, Charles E. Swank in 1997; daughters, Roberta J. Davis in 2000 and June A. Laubach in 2011; son-in-law, William R. Wendt; grandson, David Laubach; three sisters, Grace Meiser, Ethel Williams, and Blanche Inch; and seven brothers, Russell, Earl, Clair, Marlin, G. Leon, Robert and Clyde Inch.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Lois D. Martin officiating.
