SELINSGROVE — Brenda Sue Sprenkle, 54, of Selinsgrove, entered into rest surrounded by her loving and caring family on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at her home.
Brenda was born Feb. 6, 1959, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Glen A. and Violet M. (Shaffer) Lenig. She was married for 35 years to Walter Lee Sprenkle, who survives.
Brenda was a graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
She was employed for 21 years at the Selinsgrove Middle School in the dietary department until her illness.
She was a member of Grubbs (Botschafts) Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant Mills.
Brenda loved to garden, made quilts and was a loving, caring person who naturally made many friends. Brenda especially loved and lived for quality time with her granddaughters.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her three children, Katie Stauffer and husband Gerald, of Port Trevorton, Joel Sprenkle and wife Colleen, of Freeburg, and Joshua Sprenkle, at home; twin granddaughters, Ava and Erica Stauffer; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Garry and Linda Lenig, Carl and Colleen Lenig and Steve and Ann Lenig, and one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and George Moyer, all of Selinsgrove; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by a brother, Jeffrey Lenig, in infancy.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from noon to 2 Monday in Grubbs (Botschafts) Lutheran Church, 2148 Hoffer Road, Mount Pleasant Mills, followed by a service of Christian burial at 2 with her pastor, the Rev. Timothy W. Bingman, officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorial gifts may be made to her church.
