ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Michael David “Mick” Snyder, 60, was found dead in his St. Petersburg apartment on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013.
He was born Sept. 23, 1953, in Sunbury, Pa., a son of the late Arthur Guy Snyder Jr. and Nancy Fetter Sullivan.
Mick was a veteran of the Army and served for several years at Fort Bragg.
He was an easy going free spirit who was loved and will be missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by two brothers, Paul Snyder, of Sunbury, and Terry Snyder, of Northumberland; three sisters, Tammy Toomey, April Musser, and Betty Reigle, all of Sunbury; and his stepmother, Sandra Snyder, of Sunbury. Also surviving are his six children, Micah Snyder, of California, Alyssia Riley, of Raleigh, N.C., and Joshua, Jeremiah, Kaleal, and Seth Snyder, all of Pennsyhlvania; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mick was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Snyder Chrismer.
A short military honor ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at the Stonington Ceremony, followed by a gathering of friends and family at the Sunbury Elks.
