SUNBURY — Marvin M. Kranson, 57, of Sunbury, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, in the emergency room of Sunbury Community Hospital, after suffering a heart attack.
He was born Oct. 14, 1955, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Leo and Ermina (Nuss) Kranson. He was married to the former Linda K. Kunkel who survives.
Marvin was a 1973 graduate of Shikellamy High School.
He spent his life running his independent construction business, North Penn Construction and for many years Marvin and his wife, Linda, owned and operated Hurr’s Dairy Ice Cream store until the present.
Marvin enjoyed hunting and was an avid outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Richard Van Saxton, of Denver, Colo., Jack L. Saxton, of Stillwater, and Mary H. Saxton, of Sunbury; and four grandchildren, Kassandra, Abigail, Alyssa and Adam.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy M. Shaffer.
Marvin requested a simple cremation service which will be private for the family, with Pastor Mark Gittens, his pastor of H2Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marvin’s memory may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
