Grace A. Meiser, 95, Selinsgrove

SELINSGROVE — Grace A. Meiser, 95, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove, where she had lived since Janurary.

She was born Feb. 2, 1917, in Penn Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late George Adam and Carrie A. (Heimbach) Inch. On Dec. 17, 1938, she married Elmer Lee Meiser who preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2011.

Grace had attended Schuck’s school, rural Selinsgrove.

She was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove and prior to that had belonged to St. Paul’s “Middlecreek Dam” Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove.

Grace enjoyed cooking, baking, canning and gardening, and did babysitting and ironing for others. The love of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a lady with a gracious spirit who was dearly loved by her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband both locally and through the United States.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon L. and Sam Bleistein, of Sunbury; one son and two daughters-in-law, Bruce L. and Chris Meiser and Sandy Meiser, all of Selinsgrove; two grandchildren and their spouses, Valeri Jo and Ron Rice and Michael B. and Danielle Meiser; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jo Rice, and Zachary and Jessica Meiser and a great-grandson expected in Janurary; one stepgrandson, Steven Bleistein; and one sister, Helen Worthington, of Kramm Nursing Home, Milton.

She was preceded in death in addition to her husband of 72 years by one daughter, Darlene K. Meiser in 1949; one son, Gary L. Meiser in 2006; two sisters, Ethel Williams and Blanche Inch; seven brothers, Russel, Earl, Clair, Marlin, George Leon, Robert and Clyde Inch; and one stepgrandson, Matthew Bleistein.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Robert P. Doll officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Paul’s “Middlecreek Dam” Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
