MILLERSBURG — Larry M. Koppenhaver, 71, of 501 Locust St., passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Harrisburg, the son of the late of Mark and Sula (Smeltz) Koppenhaver. He was married to the former Helen Meckley, who survives.
Larry was a 1959 graduate of Camp Hill High School and served in the Army Reserves.
He retired as a civil engineer from the state Department of Environmental Protection.
Larry attended Reigle’s Bible Fellowship Church in Millersburg and was a member of the Millersburg Gun and Conservation Club, the NRA and Ducks Unlimited.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sherry Koppenhaver, of Millersburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Daniel Catalano, of Florence, Ky.; one sister, Maryann Smith, of Camp Hill; five grandchildren, John, Angela, Madison, Zachary and Brandon; and three great-grandchildren, Raquel, Austin and Khloe.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in Reigle’s Bible Fellowship Church, Millersburg, followed by a memorial service at 11.
In honor of Larry, the family is suggesting camouflage dress for the service.
