SELINSGROVE — Maud E. Williams, 93, of North Orange Street, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 15, 1919, in Olyphant, a daughter of the late Evan and Eva (Craven) Johns.
She attended Olyphant High School and on Aug. 22, 1940, married William S. Williams who preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2004.
Maud was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove where she was active in helping in fund raising events at the church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Williamsport.
Her family was her passion and she faithfully attended her grandchildren’s activities. She was an immaculate housekeeper who took homemaking to a science.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, William Timothy Williams, of Selinsgrove and Brad S. and Roxana Williams, of Mechanicsburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Lyn E. and William Baumbach, of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Scott and his wife Kristen Williams, Mark Williams, Andrew and his wife Alison Williams, and Amy and her husband Christopher Griffin; and three great-grandchildren, Holly, Evan, and Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Leo Hart, William and Thomas Johns, Mabel Morgan, Betty Krause, Marietta Stephenson, Vanna Cobb, and Lavina Lynn.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St.. Selinsgrove. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ United Methodist Church, 429 Eighth St., Selinsgrove with Lay Minister Jamie Carpenter officiating.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Union Cemetery, Peckville.
Contributions in Maud’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
