MILLERSBURG — William H. Allman Jr., 90, of Millersburg, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born in Millersburg, the son of the late William H. Allman Sr. and Lily V. (Ebersole) Allman.
He attended Millersburg schools. He was an Army veteran of World War II, enlisting the day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
Bill retired in 1984 from Brubaker Tool Co. He was a member of the Millersburg American Legion 326, and lifetime member of the DAV.
He enjoyed fishing, photography, hunting, the outdoors, the love of golf and woodworking. His family was most important to him.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Ibberson) Allman; one son, Billy Allman (Robey), of Millersburg, two daughters, Barbara Duplessie, of Millersburg and Peggy Gerdy, of Riverside; grandchildren, Stacey, Kim (Bert), Brandy (Tony), Tammy (Curt), Michael (Lara), Matthew (Bethany) and Sara; great-grandchildren, Ashton (Colby), Korie, Katie, Ty, Mitchell, Aspen, Brett (Laura), Trent (Keri), Annie, Meghan, Morgan and Hunter.
He was preceded in death by one son Randy; two sons-in-law, Jim and Gordon; and his siblings Francis, Thelma, Howard and Leonard.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
