Margaret A. Keiser, 80, Lewistown

LEWISTOWN — Margaret A. Keiser, 80, a resident of the Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, and formerly of the Berry’s Personal Care, Mifflintown, and the McClure area, died at 12:02 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Ohesson Manor.

She was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Charles W. Waite and Catherine (Bolton) Waite Klock. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert H. Keiser Sr., on Dec. 1, 2003.

Early in life, Margaret was self-employed in farming and the American Viscose Corporation; lastly, she was employed at Lozier Wire in McClure, retiring in 1998.

She was a member of the Lewistown Women of the Moose and the McClure American Legion Auxiliary.

Margaret is survived by her children, Herbert H. Keiser, Jr. and wife, Roberta, of Miffllintown, Kenneth Keiser and wife, Donna, of Beavertown, Catherine Sheesley and husband, John, of Beavertown, Peggy Mattern, of Middleburg, Benjamin Keiser and wife, Cathy, of Selinsgrove, Becki Norman and husband, Gregg, of Etters; daughter-in-law, Lou Keiser, of Middleburg; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Alma Mitchell and husband, Myron, of Troxelville, Robert E. Waite and wife, Barbara, of Selinsgrove, Paul R. Waite and wife, Carol, of Hummelstown, Linda Lucas and husband, Jerry, of Camp Hill, Connie Ranck and husband, Wayne, of Millmont, and Deb Johnson and husband, David, of Williamsport.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald L. Keiser in 2007, and an infant daughter, Nancy Jane Keiser.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, where the funeral will be conducred at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with Mr. Dennis Yohn officiating.  

Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Margaret’s memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA  17110.
