— NORTHUMBERLAND — Elmer R. Zimmerman, 77, of Northumberland, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born Nov. 2, 1936, in Sunbury, the son of the late Mern and Margaret (Zerbe) Zimmerman. On June 27, 1959, he married the former Lucille M. Runkle, who survives.

Elmer was a veteran of the Army.

He was employed for more than 30 years as a machinist for Wilhold Co., Sunbury.

He was a member of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, Sunbury.

Elmer enjoyed hunting and model trains.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Lawrence Bradigan, of Sunbury, and Carolyn and Bill Freeze, of Selinsgrove.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11.

Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
