Jean L. Snyder, 90, formerly of Lemoyne and Middletown went to be with her Lord Jesus Friday June 28, 2013 at Frey Village.
She was born March 14, 1923, in Harrisburg to the late Paul R. and Stella (Little) Himmelberger. She was the widow of Elwood D. E. Snyder.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, and the former Harrisburg Organ Club.
She was a former crossing guard in Lemoyne.
Jean was musically gifted and an active volunteer in her church and at Frey Village; also being a member of the auxiliary for many years.
She is survived by one son, Larry E. Snyder (Polly), of Lancaster and one daughter, Nancy J. Snook (Denny), of New Cumberland: five grandchildren, Kelly, Shawn, Jody, Erin and Eric; and three great-grandchildren; Matthew, Jayden and Landyn.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. followed by memorial services at 11a.m. Friday at St.Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland.
Private inurnment will be Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Township.
