LEWISBURG — John Harry Gundrum, 95, of 270 Ridgecrest Circle, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg, with his wife by his side.
He was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Muncy, a son of the late Harry K. and Mabel E. (Beeber) Gundrum. On June 6, 2013, he celebrated his 71st wedding anniversary with his wife, the former Lorraine Vollman.
John graduated from Muncy High School in 1935 and went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bucknell University in 1939.
John was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Harry Joseph and Joyce Gundrum, of Lampeter, and John Charles Gundrum, of Mifflinburg.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Gundrum-Donohue and Rebecca Gundrum-Salandi.
A private graveside service will be held in Muncy Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Ricky A. Phillips, Evangelical Hospice chaplain.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in John’s memory be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 404 Market St., Mifflinburg, PA 17784.
